THINGS TO DO

Fiesta Sports Foundation Museum one of Scottsdale’s best kept secrets

Tucked in the far south end of the Scottsdale Waterfront property is a little museum that not a lot of people know about.

Visitors to the Fiesta Sports Foundation Museum are treated to a wall displaying the helmet of every team to ever participate in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, a time capsule of the bowl’s history going back to its beginnings in 1971 (when ASU beat Florida State 45-38) and the bowl’s current trophy, with its $1 million in 18 karate gold and diamonds.

It also has the original Fiesta Bowl Trophy, a bronze statue of a ball runner being tackled by two defenders - no gold or diamonds in this one.
