The Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers grant campaign has come and gone this year, but not before 200 teachers received $2,500 individual grants to 200 teachers around the valley, making their wishes come true.
The Fiesta Bowl Charities created in 2016 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that grants Arizona teachers money to fulfill their classroom necessities.
Fiesta Bowl officials say they developed this charity arm to help aid front-line teachers who spend their own money to gather materials needed for a successful learning environment. In its four years, Wishes for Teachers has granted over $3.2 million to Arizona teachers, impacting more than 300,000 students at 400 schools across the state.
