Field taking shape for Deer Valley Unified seat openings

Filing election documents next up for possible candidates starting in June

The field for potential candidates vying for two seats opening on the Deer Valley Unified School District governing board is coming more into focus.

Voters will be filling two seats for four-year terms in the Nov. 3 general election.

According to the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s elections and districts data dashboard, four residents have filed Statements of Interest to potentially run for the two Deer Valley Unified board openings: David Alvarado; current board president Paul Carver; Kristi Cooper; and Julie Stockwell. All are Phoenix residents.
