Ferrell Malcolm Anderson

Ferrell Malcolm Anderson passed away September 6th, 2025, at home in Gilbert, AZ, He was 85.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hilmer Anderson, and Louise McCormich Anderson Mercer, and His son Ferrell MALCOLM Anderson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jean, son Chris, Grandkids, Hunter & wife Katey, Lauren, Maddie, Rylee and Cody. Ferrell was born in Post Falls, Idaho, and raised in Mesa, AZ.
He attended Mesa Elementary School, Mesa Middle School and graduated from Mesa High School in 1958. He attended ASU in the EE Department. He was a member of the LDS Church. He moved to Port Moody, BC, Canada, and was an engineer designer of Cable TV Equipment. He married Jean Hesler in 1966 on the Campus of ASU, and he and Jean lived in Canada for 3 ½ years. It was there that he bought Jean her first half Arabian Horse. Ferrell and she then moved down to Lucas, TX, outside of Richardson, TX., where their two boys were born. Malcolm was born I 1969 and Chris in 1971. Ferrell and Jean were active members of the North Texas Arabian Horse Club. The family then moved down to Dilley, Tx, halfway between San Antonio and Loredo, in 1973, so that Ferrell could build his own Dilley Cable TV System there. After the Cabe TV started, we then added TV/CB Repair, a Radio Shack, and Dilley Computer Consulting, to our businesses. Ferrell was active in the Methodist Church, The Dilley Lions Club, The Dilley Volunteer Fire Department, Pee Wee and Little League and was the fire department representative for the county.
We moved to Cave Creek, AZ., in 1985, moving 3 Arabian Horses, one dog, 4 cats and 9 Cockatiels, and driving 5 vehicles. Ferrell was active in the Cactus Shadows High School Booster Club, The Cave Creek Mothers Club, The Green Building Project with the City of Scottsdale, The Arizona Solar Society, The AZ Farm Bureau, The Cave Creek Saddle Club, The Cave Creek Lions Club, and the Arizona Horse Council. In Cave Creek, Jean owned and managed IMPRINTS, where she had a print shop and office supply. Ferrell moved into the print shop where he had NEOTECH, which was a computer sales/repair/consulting business. We moved and retired from Cave Creek out to Rio Verde, in 2005, and lived on 6 acres with numerous dogs, cats and 3 Arabian Horses, and one Quarter Horse. Ferrell was active in the Rio Verde Horsemen’s Association, where he was part of the “Water Committee”. We then sold our property in 2023, and moved down to Gilbert, AZ., to be closer to our family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 11AM, and the Cave Creek LDS Church: 38008 North Basin Road, Cave Creek, AZ 85331.
