Tony Gido was alone at work when the worst happened — and then the best

Tony Gido has more to be thankful for this week than in past Thanksgiving holidays.

His life changed in an instant this summer when a heart attack struck him while he was busy by himself on a morning maintenance work shift at his job at Aurora Behavioral Health, 6015 W. Peoria Ave., Glendale. If he felt alone at the most vulnerable moment of his life, he wasn’t.

Gido’s co-workers snapped into action.
