Federal shutdown: No initial impact to Chandler

Chandler Municipal Airport continues to operate as usual despite the federal government shutdown, as is the City Clerk’s passport service, according to a spokesperson.

No Chandler city services or operations have been impacted during the initial days of the most recent federal government shutdown, according to a spokesperson.

Chandler’s Matt Burdick said there haven’t been any interruptions or scaling back of services that are either under direct federal oversight or involve federal employees in some way.

“We continue to deliver services without pause or disruption,” Burdick said.
