Fate of development near Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale delayed

Public opposition to proposals near family farm postpones vote until May

The latest battle between shrinking Maricopa County farmland versus business opportunity was put on pause Tuesday night in Glendale.

The city council was scheduled to take action on an agenda item at its voting meeting to approve — or deny — a minor general plan amendment application and a rezoning application for an upcoming development project titled Shops at 75th at the southwest corner of 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

On a 3.7-acre lot adjacent to Tolmachoff Farms.
