Michael Wagner says COVID-19’s stay-at-home recommendations with a fast, massive expansion of the work-from-home culture was one of the best things ever happen to the home swimming pool business.
Wagner is the president of Pool Scouts, a national chain of swimming pool maintenance and upkeep franchises, founded in 2016. Since the first Raleigh, North Carolina, franchise was sold that year, the company, part of Buzz Franchise Brands, has grown to about 114 locations in 18 states — including one in Chandler.
Heather and Preston Gilbert operate the Chandler franchise — one of nine so far in the Valley — and Wagner said the couple has had remarkable success early on.
