The Maricopa County Human Services Department will host a Family Resource Fair and Hiring Event.
The gathering goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at the West Valley Career Center, 4425 W. Olive Ave., Suites 190 & 200, in Glendale.
Come early for resume assistance starting at 9 a.m.
The event will feature a variety of family-friendly employers that offer flexible work schedules. Some of the employers scheduled to be on site ready to interview include Arizona State Hospital; Bass Pro Shop-Glendale; Bright Beginnings Preschool; Buckeye Elementary School; Devoted Guardians Home Care; FedEx Ground; Fry’s Grocery Store; Maricopa County; Phoenix College; Service Wire Company; Stine Enterprise; and Sun City West Recreational Center.
Also look for a wide range of services and programs aimed at supporting families including diapers at no cost, Head Start Enrollment (children up to 5 years old), rental and utility assistance, career and job training services, Dress for Success, SRP energy education, and veterans’ services.
