It’s almost time for seasonal hours to change at Momma’s Organic Market in Glendale, where one of the Valley’s longest standing family farms is always on hand.
Moreno Farms Produce dates back to 1933, on its original South Phoenix site. In the past few years, brothers Jerrod and David Moreno moved operations to Glendale to keep the family’s fresh produce coming for yet another generation.
“My dad and my grandpa did it,” Jerrod said at the March 11 market at Arrowhead Towne Center. “They put the work in and grew with the families of other farms. That’s the way we do it.”
