Family searching for teen girl last seen in Glendale

Posted
A Casa Grande family is searching for a missing teen who was last seen in Glendale.

Karleigh Cardenas, 14, has been been missing since last week. Her family is pleading to get answers and help from authorities and residents.

Shaun Cardenas, the girl's father, took to Facebook earlier this week to state that his daughter has been missing from their Casa Grande home since Monday Aug, 28.

"We are desperately looking for her, and my heart has a bad feeling. I’ve hired private investigators to help find her. We have gathered lots of useful evidence that needs to be viewed,"  Cardenas wrote on Facebook.

The family is asking people who live in the Glendale area to be on the look out as she was  spotted at a Popeyes on 59th and Northern avenues in Glendale.

"We have stores with video evidence and a city full of camera footage. We need the police departments help!" He wrote.

Although no inforamtion was shared on why she would leave or with whom, the father believes it may be  in connection with a boy.

“Last Sunday night my daughter Karleigh Cardenas (14) ran away with a young man (15) from the community. He spent five days with her. Then came back alone. We are desperately looking for her, and my heart has a bad feeling," He wrote. "We don’t know what story to believe. The signs are not good for my daughter. We are grieving now for the return of our daughter."

Anyone with possible information on this case should contact the Casa Grande Police Department at 520-421-8700.

The family is also offering a $7,500 reward for anyone who can help find her.
