Families in Pima boundary will stay in Coronado learning community

Current and future students living in Scottsdale Unified School District’s soon to be defunct Pima Elementary School boundary will stay in the Coronado High School learning community next year.

That means those students will get district-funded transportation to Hohokam Elementary School or Yavapai Elementary School (depending on where they live) after Pima shuts its doors at the end of the current school year.

The district governing board voted 5-0 during its Feb. 25 meeting to follow the recommendation of the committee formed to study the issue and keep students in Coronado learning community.
