After a decade of wowing family and friends with elaborately spooky back yard Halloween haunts, Jason Bach and his daughters, Jennifer Vegtel and Nikki Edger, were looking forward to opening an escape room in the West Valley.
Their dreams were put on hold while the family grieved the loss of Ms. Vegtel and her 5-year-old son, Logan, who were killed in a chain-reaction crash in Phoenix on Dec. 11, 2018.
