Experts warn that snoring could signal serious health issues

Tips and tricks on how to cure snoring have recently been circling the internet. But it turns out that not every hack seen online is a perfect fix.

People snore when there is turbulence in the airway. Mild or occasional snoring is typically not an issue. However, heavy snoring can be indicative of a larger problem.

“The notion that snoring is just annoying is one thing, but it can be indicative of something problematic,” Dr. Matt Troester said. “So I think it’s just ubiquitous. And I think people talk about it and people kind of get a chuckle, but there’s some serious stuff there, too.”
