Experts: Strong travel season ahead

Air travel is in full swing and prior woes of the pandemic seem distant as demand is currently surging, according to Airlines for America, an airlines lobbyist group.

But summer air travel got off to a turbulent start this past Memorial Day weekend.

On Tuesday, the Associated Press reported U.S. airlines canceled more than 2,800 flights from Thursday through Monday, or about 2% of their schedules, according to tracking service FlightAware.
