Ways to deal with and overcome holiday stress

The holidays are supposed to represents a time of peace and good times around friends and family.

But Christmas can also be anxiety-filled and stressful — depending on your financial situation and if you enjoy spending time with people who are going to be around during festive events.

A survey from the American Psychological Association in November found 41% of respondents said their stress levels rise in the time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s compared with other parts of the year, and 43% said the season’s extra anxiety makes it hard to enjoy the holidays.
