Experts: protect yourself against flu and COVID-19 this season

Flu, cold and COVID-19 season is just around the corner, Valley residents, and experts are recommending a shot for each.

High-risk patients —residents with ailments such as diabetes, high-blood pressure and those with an autoimmune disease — should get a flu vaccine as early as this month, said Samia Kadri, a nurse practitioner at Banner Urgent Care.

“It’s always important to remind people (that flu season is approaching),” Kadri said.
