Gov. Ducey: ‘There’s hope on the horizon’

Even with continued concerns regarding the still intensifying COVID-19 public health crisis, leaders and experts believe parts of the Arizona economy will recover this year.

Gov. Doug Ducey delivered a New Year’s message on Thursday in which he acknowledged the crisis and challenges — but he sounded an unambiguous tone of optimism for the coming year.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unimaginable loss and economic hardship in every corner of our state … 2020 was the challenge of a lifetime. A challenge that will define us for generations,” the governor said in a video message published today.
