It’s no secret that tourism is a crucial part of Scottsdale’s economy, but a recent report details just how important it is.
A report by the Toronto-based Longwoods International found that for every dollar spent by Experience Scottsdale on advertising, $214 are generated in visitor spending and $7 in city tax revenue.
Experience Scottsdale is a private nonprofit dedicated to drawing tourism to Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. It receives 45% of Scottsdale’s annual bed-tax revenue generated by overnight guests at Scottsdale’s hotels, resorts and short-term rentals.
