Events planned in Florence for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week takes place April 23-29, and the Pinal County Attorney's Office is hosting a series of events in Florence in recognition of the week.
First up is a “No Booze Cruze Car & Bike” show from 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 21 on Main Street. The event will place an emphasis on safe, sober driving.
The second event will feature a “Community Meeting and Crime Victim Candlelight Vigil” from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, April 24 at 971 Joseph Lopez Circle.
The community meeting will feature a panel of regional leaders including Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, Florence Mayor Tara Walter, Councilmember Nicole Buccellato, and Florence Police Chief Bruce Walls, among others.
Wrapping up the week, the Pinal County Attorney’s Office will host a “Kids & Community Kickball Tournament” from 5-9 p.m., Friday, April 28 at 3103 N. Anthem Way in Merrill Ranch.
This event will feature food trucks, fingerprinting and demonstrations from local law enforcement sharing anti-crime messaging with local youth.
