The Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix has a number of upcoming events.
Built in 1989 to support performing arts in Phoenix as a venue and arts incubator and located at 222 E. Monroe St., the Center contributes to the Valley’s cultural and educational development.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”
Valley Youth Theatre presents “Cinderella” as its season opener on the Herberger’s Center Stage Aug. 11-27.
This contemporary take on the timeless classic includes new characters, twists, and the classic songwriting duo of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
14th Annual Festival of the Arts
The festival, free and open to all, features performances, dance, live music, hands-on activities for kids, artist demonstrations, a vendor market, food, a wine and beer garden, and more. Takes place Saturday, Nov. 18 outdoors on two stages at the Herberger Theater Center.
The Herberger is looking for performers, artists, musicians, vendors and volunteers to participate in the Festival. Deadlines for applications for performers is Sunday, July 30; for live artists demos is Tuesday, Aug. 1; and for vendors is Friday, Sept. 1.
