Evelyn Ward, 86, a resident of Sun City West passed away on May 17, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, AZ. She and her husband, Richard, moved here in the 1980's from St. Louis, MI.Evelyn enjoyed playing golf, mahjong and participating in the social activities at Briarwood Country Club. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Women's Guild and the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She happily volunteered in the fund raising projects of these organizations.She will be greatly missed by her husband, Dick of 43 years, her beloved niece, Kelly Planzo, her other nieces and nephews (Mike, Brett, Craig and Linda) and her many friends.Her funeral Mass were on May 22nd. Donations in her honor can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish or Hospice of the Valley in Surprise.
