Eugene Arthur Papineau (1929–2025)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gene who left this life peacefully on April 29, 2025. Born on April 9, 1929 in Salix, Iowa Gene dedicated his life to serving others. He was known for his kindness and commitment to his community. Throughout his years he made a positive impact on many lives. Gene will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering support for those in need.

Gene is a proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force (Nov 1947 - April 1969) where he served his country with great honor and integrity. After completing his military service he decided to continue his commitment to helping others by becoming an Aurora Police Officer (April 1970 - November 1990). In this role Gene worked hard to protect and serve the community.

Gene dedicated 15 years of his life as an active member of the Sun City Posse. He worked tirelessly to improve safety and the quality of life for seniors in the community. His commitment and hard work did not go unnoticed as he received one of only three Lifetime Achievement Awards. This honor recognized his significant contributions to the well-being of the residents in Sun City. Gene's legacy continues to inspire others to give back to their community.

He is survived by Priscilla, his wife of 6 years; his children Mark, Jon, Beth, Lynn and Leah. Gene was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra and two previous spouses, Elizabeth and Marguerite.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Thursday May 8, 2025, at the Sun City Posse. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Sun City Posse at 10861 W Sunland Dr, Sun City, AZ 85351.
