The Sonoran Desert, which includes Maricopa County, is home to at least 19 species of bats. These include the Mexican free-tailed bat, big brown bat, hoary bat, California leaf-nosed bat, Townsend’s big-eared bat, and others.
Attendees are encouraged to bring water and snacks. Restrooms and drinking water are available at the Nature Center.
