The warm smell of fresh-cooked food wafts into the dining room at Espo’s — and right onto the expanded patio.
That expanded patio is where Leon Espinoza and his team hope to connect the past with the future of restaurants in West Chandler.
In a neighborhood surrounding the Chandler Fashion Center, one of the oldest buildings in the area remains: the former store now used for storage at Espo’s restaurant. The longstanding sign reading “Espo’s Food Center” and mural tell newcomers much of what they need to know about historic ties — and some of the modern products on the menu will likely be around for years to come.
