Error costs Florence council $263K

The Florence Town Council had to contend with a costly error during its March 18 meeting.

A mistake is now costing Florence $263,248.

About two years ago, the town approved a contract with Ameresco of Peoria for the installation of a solar array at Well 5. Now however, the array has to be temporarily removed to allow KE&G to begin construction on improvements to the well, which begin in April.
