A rate case application is pending with the Arizona Corporation Commission by EPCOR Utilities, Inc.
This includes a review of the updated water rates for Sun City West, Sun City, Gateway (Mohave), Paradise Valley , Rio Verde and Sonoran water districts.
According to the EPCOR website, water rates have remained the same for more than five years. However, the cost of providing safe, reliable water services has gone up. In addition, the website stated “At the same time, we are also planning for long-term supply challenges, including drought, groundwater pressures, population growth and changing conditions affecting regional water resources.”
