Goodyear flight school United Aviate Academy received attention from Elon Musk after he admonished the school’s corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to Business Insider, the Jan. 8 interaction saw Musk and fellow billionaire Mark Cuban disagree over inclusive diversity admission practices for the flight school in Goodyear.
According to the story, Musk took exception to the academy’s goal of enrolling "50% of students who are women and/or people of color." Musk wrote he believed the policy ignored the importance of merit.
