Sun City West, AZ - Eloise (Wheeler) Sailsbery, 88, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 with her family by her side.Eloise was born November 4, 1929 in Cowden, IL, the daughter of Russell and Blanche Wheeler. She moved to Decatur in her teens and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1946. She married Roy Sailsbery on April 6, 1947. Eloise worked in the Decatur public school system until her retirement in 1991. They moved to Sun City West in 1995. Eloise was a member of Palm West Community Church where she was involved in Women's Ministries. She was also a member of MisCues at the R. H. Johnson Recreation Center.Eloise is survived by her husband of 71 years; three children, Michael (Debby) of Kutztown, PA, Vickie Sailsbery Twichell (Paul) of Incline Village, NV, and Beverly Sailsbery Hickey (Kevin) of Oakville, Ontario Canada; 6 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother, a grandson, and a daughter-in-law.A Celebration of Life service is being held Saturday, November 3rd at 10:00 A.M. at the Palm West Community Church, 13845 Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, AZ.Memorials may be given to Wycliffe Bible Translators, PO Box 268200, Orlando, FL 32862.
