Elevate, Gilbert to host capstone event for job trainees

Posted

Gilbert-based edtech startup Elevate announced a partnership with the town on its technology sales training and support program aimed at redefining workforce readiness.

Through the collaboration, qualifying Gilbert residents earned scholarships toward Elevate’s six-week training course where participants received virtual and in-person instruction.

Nearing completion, participating graduates presenting at the capstone event Nov. 9 will earn a chance to have an opportunity to secure interviews with Elevate Employer Partners for full-time positions.

The TechSales Xcelerator program provided six Gilbert residents an opportunity to pursue new horizons in the technology sector while gaining direct access to employers upon graduation.

As a culmination of this transformative partnership, Elevate is inviting the public to the Elevate x Gilbert Capstone Event, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9 starting at 5 p.m. and held at the Gilbert University Building, located in downtown at 92 W. Vaughn Avenue.

During the event,  program graduates will have an opportunity to present their work and newly-acquired skills to a panel of employer judges from the local and national business landscape in a format like the 'Shark Tank' television series.

The capstone event will be a showcase of local talent but also a gateway to career prospects. Graduates who excel at the event will be rewarded with interviews with selected employer judges, offering them the chance to secure positions with leading companies.

The Elevate x Gilbert Capstone Event is further enriched by the  mentorship provided by leaders from organizations such as Univision, Addressable, ZipRecruiter, Global Telecom, and Daniel J Murphy Consulting.

These mentors will guide and support graduates, helping them navigate the dynamic world of work with confidence.

The employer judges come from diverse sectors, including Trainual, VIAS Campus Management, Meratas, qBotica, MPI, and SolidState Networks. Their collective expertise and industry insights will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of the graduates.

Elevate also invites business leaders, sales leaders, workforce development representatives, and potential candidates to participate in the Elevate x Gilbert Capstone Event. To secure a spot at the event, interested people can register via Eventbrite by searching for "Elevate x Gilbert Capstone Event."
