With only three candidates qualifying for the March governing board election, and four slots available, the Recreation Centers of Sun City West will not be holding an election this spring.
Three owner members turned in petitions with enough signatures to qualify for the Election. There are three, three-year terms opening, and one one-year term to be filled. On July 1, the three candidates will be seated for the three-year terms. The governing board will appoint someone to fill the one-year slot.

Christine Novello, Alan Schlemmer and Kay Williams will become the newest Board members, although Williams has been on the Board before and is presently filling a one-year term. Novello and Schlemmer are familiar faces due to current service on board committees.
The three will join continuing Directors Tim Hurley (the current President), Dick Rhoades (current Treasurer), Jack Leary (Secretary), Harry Stannebein and Lisa Vines. That leaves the one-year term yet to be filled in the new fiscal year.
Leaving the Board on June 30 are Vice President Anne Brown and Directors Roberta Davidson and Sharon Hettick. The nine-member Board is comprised of Owner Members who volunteer their time to serve. Biographies submitted by the three incoming members can be viewed online at suncitywest.com
