El Mirage PD chief defends officers' school lockdown actions

The El Mirage police chief has defended officers’ actions in  arresting three parents who attempted to enter Thompson Ranch Elementary School on Friday during a lockdown.

In a Facebook post, Police Chief Paul Marzocca stated that “just because one may not agree with a law doesn't give them a right to disobey whatever laws they don't agree with.”

According to Marzocca, the lockdown, which was triggered after an armed man was seen trying to get on campus, required that no one was allowed in the school while authorities were dealing with the situation.
