Edward L. Blessing, 71Edward L. Blessing, 71, of Gold Canyon, want home to be with his Savior early in the morning on June 12, 2007. He was loved in life as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.He was born Nov. 21, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Ind. to Olinda and Luther Blessing.Mr. Blessing grew up in Indiana, moving later in life to Kennewick, Wash. where he met Mildred, his bride of 45 years. He worked in the construction industry taking jobs at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation and later Boundary Dam. Later, he and his family moved to Federal Way, Wash. where he also worked in construction. While we was proud of the work he did and the many projects be became a part of, his family was also the source of great pride as he raised one son and two daughters.After retiring in Nov. 2000 from Berger/Abam Engineers, he and his wife moved to Gold Canyon. He was a member of the Mountain View Lutheran Church in Apache Junction.He is survived by his wife, Mildred Blessing of Gold Canyon; son, Jerry (Julia) Blessing of Lake Tapps, Wash.; two daughters, Carol (Douglas) Lindahl Of Shelton, Wash., Catherine (Todd) Oeltjen of Orlando, Fla; four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Breanna and Stephen Lindahl of Shelton, Wash. and Jordan Blessing of Lake Tapps, Wash.; brother, John (Delta) Blessing of Kennewick, Wash.He will be missed very much.A celebration of his life was held June 16 at Mountain View Lutheran Church.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mountain View Lutheran School Building Fund.Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery handled arrangements.
