Edward was born to Leo and Anna (Herbold) Shupert in Battle Creek, Michigan. He received a BA degree from the Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University in 1955 and served in the US Army from 1956-1958. On July 18, 1956 he married Mary Agnes Allen who predeceased him in 2020 after sixty four years of marriage. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1996 and they moved to Sun City West, Arizona. He enjoyed hiking and tennis and was an accomplished accordionist playing for dances, ethnic weddings and anniversary celebrations. He will always be remembered for his great joke narratives. He is survived by a son, David (Kristine), granddaughter, Hayley and grandson, Jake. A burial will take place at a later date in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona.
