FOUNTAIN HILLS - Edward A. Roh, 75, died at home on Friday, October 20, 2023. He was born on October 9, 1948, in Beloit, WI, to Alvin and Melvina (Stephenson) Roh, and graduated from Muscoda High School in 1967.
Ed attended broadcast school in Milwaukee and started at WRCO in Richland Center, WI, in 1972 as a D.J. He was a sales manager with Wisconsin Pharmacal from 1979 to 1994, traveling the country for the sporting goods industry. Ed moved to the on-line education industry, holding various sales and project management positions. He retired in 2012.
Ed and Kim Fleming were married on May 24, 1975, in Richland Center. They moved to Milwaukee, WI and in 1984 moved to Scottsdale, AZ. In 1993 they settled in Fountain Hills, AZ.
Ed was known for his excellent cooking, especially his lasagna and pizza. He and Kim also enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Europe. Kauai was one of his favorite destinations and they vacationed there many times. He was a great story teller, entertaining his schoolmates at a young age. In retirement, he became a published author of children’s books and historical fiction. Ed was also very proud of his Lakota heritage.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Roger, and nephew, Jon Roh. Ed is survived by his wife, Kim; niece, Tiffany Wanless (Will) of Amherst, VA; brother-in-law, James Fleming (Lawrence Waite) of Kinderhook, N.Y.; mother-in-law, Rosa Fleming of Baraboo, WI; and his beloved cat, Miss Felice.
A memorial service will be held Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church in Scottsdale at a date to be announced.
