Edgar (Ed) A. Roehrborn ---- In the night of June 2, 2017, age 75, in his sleep, from heaven Almighty God called him, "Ed it is time to come home!" Ed joined his parents Elsie and Ernst there with the Lord. After over 30 years of cardiac medical care, he was gravely ill of Congestive Heart Failure. Ed donated his body to medical science through RESEARCH FOR LIFE. Ed grew up in his Lutheran family in Sheboygan, WI, 33 years, graduated from Weeden Station and Central High School's.Ed is survived by wife, of 45 years M. Josephine Thompson Roehrborn RN MSN, MSW LCSW, and his 3 dear sisters LaVerne Kaiser (Melvin), Arline Richter (Wayne), and Delores Ochs (Bill) and Ed's cherished 5 nieces, 4 nephews, their dear children and their precious children, and many dear friends. Honeymooned in Nova Scotia! Fun loving, adventurous, hard worker, woodworker, lifelong Green Bay Packer's best fan they ever had, loving brother and husband, He lived in West Bend & Kewaskum, WI, 25 years, where he worked and retired from his career as a LIC LUTCF with Aid Association for Lutherans/Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. He resided in Sun City, AZ 15 years after retirement.Veteran of our United States Army, Ed served in the Berlin Crisis 1960-61 and the Wi National Guard. After completing the 2 weeks, 1985-86, US Coast Guard Auxiliary Sailing Skills and Seamanship Course, Punta Gorda, Florida, Ed was a weekend sailor on Random & Green Lakes and Bay of Lake Michigan sailing his Deep-Keel 24' S2, "Sweet Freedom" for 15 summers, wind in his hair loving every minute of it, alone, and with family and friends. He belonged to the Oconto Yacht Club and Sailing Association.In 1999-2016 we began traveling in his 34' Holiday Rambler Vacationer RV, going to 30 states and 5 Providences of Canada, visiting special places we learned about in school, including Washington DC. His passions also included 45 years growing roses for high fragrance/# of petals, cooking his own recipes of pea, bean and chili soups, hunting, fishing, smoking fish/ribs and grilling out.Ed loved regularly attended morning gatherings of men friends for coffee and visiting. Member of: Rosarian, Computer, Gardening, Badger, Life Underwriters, RV, Family Motor Coach, clubs. Ed was a life time practicing Lutheran.In Ed's name, donations to causes of your choice or the American Heart Association or American Lung Association, will be greatly appreciated. Ed's family will greet you & visit before the service and during and after lunch.Memorial Services to pray for and honor the life of Ed Roehrborn, we'll gather together at West Bend Wisconsin Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Dr., Sun City, AZ on September 29, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. lunch follows and also at American Lutheran Church, 17220 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ on November 3, 2017 11:00 A.M., lunch follows.Now that your beloved son Ed resides forever with you Jesus, we know he is loved, attends the rose gardens of heaven and sails with your Holy Spirit.
