The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for a closure on U.S. Highway 60 Superstition Freeway in Mesa for pavement improvement work beginning Friday, April 21.
Eastbound US60 between Loop 101 and Higley Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, April 21, through 5 a.m. Monday, April 24. The following ramps will also be closed: The eastbound on-ramps at Mill Avenue, Rural Road and McClintock Drive.
For detours, drivers can consider using eastbound Loop 202 Red Mountain or Santan freeways, or Southern Avenue or Broadway Road to connect with their destinations to the north of US 60 and Baseline or Guadalupe roads south of US60.
Upcoming closures include:
- Westbound US60 between Loop 202 and Power Road will have nightly lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday, April 26, through the morning of Friday, April 28.
- Eastbound US60 between Gilbert Road and Loop 202 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, April 28, through 5 a.m. Monday, May 1.
The pavement improvement work along 14 miles of US 60 will occur over several months and will require numerous closures.
