Eastbound US60 lane restriction Sunday, Greenfield to Power
Posted
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for eastbound U.S Highway 60 Superstition Freeway in Mesa to be narrowed to two lanes between Greenfield and Power roads from 5 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 7.
The eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Greenfield and Higley roads will be closed, according to a release.
For detours, allow extra travel time. Consider using eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain or Santan freeways) as an alternate freeway route. Eastbound US60 drivers can consider exiting ahead of the restriction and using Southern Avenue or Baseline Road to Power Road before returning to eastbound US60.
The ongoing pavement improvement work along 14 miles of US60 is scheduled for completion this summer. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For information, call the ADOT Bilingual Project Information Line at 855-712-8530 or go to azdot.gov/contact and select Projects from the drop-down menu.
