Drivers should expect delays and plan for detours when eastbound Interstate 10 closes between State Route 143 and US 60 from 10 p.m. Friday, May 9, to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 10, for electrical work, state transportation officials said.
At the same time, the following will be closed:
The southbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10.
The southbound SR 143 HOV ramp to eastbound I-10.
In addition, the following ramps will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday:
The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 24th, 32nd and 40th streets.
Northbound 48th Street between Broadway Road and I-10.
The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Broadway Road.
Detour: Use the northbound SR 143 to eastbound Loop 202 to southbound Loop 101 to westbound US 60 or Loop 202 to reach eastbound I-10 beyond the closures.
Southbound I-17 drivers should use westbound I-10 to access eastbound Loop 202, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
