East Valley woman rescues 5 golden retrievers, search on for owners

A Chandler resident found five gold retrievers Friday as they wandered near the intersection of Alma School and Ray roads and brought them to a fire station where authorities have put out the call for help in finding their owners.

Firefighters at Fire Station 283 contacted animal control, and they were picked up Friday “but unfortunately none of the dogs are microchipped,” according to the fire department’s Facebook page.

The dogs remain at animal control as authorities await contact from the animals’ owners.
