East Valley towns could receive millions in state dollars for roads

Queen Creek, Apache Junction and Florence could get a share of $330 million in funding that is being considered for rural road and highway improvements across the state.

The Arizona House of Representatives has passed a bill that would appropriate the $330 million from the state general fund and move the money to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The bill has cleared a state Senate committee.
