East Valley city sees new retail arrive

Vineyard Towne Center in Queen Creek is welcoming more tenants.

This month, several new Phase 2 tenants — McDonald’s, Over Easy, Café Rio, Academy Bank, Cinnaholic, LifeQuest and Cadence Running Company — have opened their doors.

Vineyard Towne Center is located at 37666 N. Gantzel Road.

Construction is also underway on Phase 2 of the center, which includes anchor tenant, Target. The retailer is set to open this fall as Phase 2 is completed, according to developer Vestar.

“We’re excited about the strong tenant lineup we’ve secured at Vineyard Towne Center,” Taylor Alvey, vice president of leasing at Vestar, stated in a press release. “Our goal has always been to create a premiere shopping experience that would meet the needs of the expanding Queen Creek community, and we’re confident we’ve achieved that. With nearly 100% of the Vineyard Towne Center now leased, we’re confident that we are bringing a vibrant destination for both residents and visitors.”

Several other tenants are set to open soon, starting with Mountain America Credit Union in February and Better Buzz Coffee in March, the release stated.

Thai Chili 2 GO will follow this spring, with Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Zaxby’s and Five Guys, which are also under construction, expected to open this summer. Mattress Firm, My Doc Now, Verizon and Petco are slated to open in the fall, the release continued.

Vestar also plans to make additional announcements regarding its grand opening date this spring.

Spanning 260,000 square feet, Vineyard Towne Center is already home to a number of retailers, services and restaurants.

Vineyard Towne Center is one of several ground-up developments Vestar has underway in Arizona, including Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye, Laveen Towne Center in Laveen and The Shops at Lake Pleasant in Peoria.
