East Valley annexation would bring city closer to buildout

The city of Chandler’s privately owned land isn’t completely built out yet.

But the kind of new development the Chandler City Council heard about at its Sept. 17 regular meeting is becoming more and more rare.

A mandated public hearing that’s part of any Arizona annexation request was held for 4.42 acres in south Chandler, though no formal action was taken by Council at the meeting.
