Republican Justin Heap wins GOP Primary

The dust has settled for the highly contested Maricopa County Recorders race with numbers showing Republican State Rep. Justin Heap as the  Republican nominee for the county elections chair.

Heap was leading after initial early vote counts Tuesday, July 30. He earned around 43% of the vote while Republican incumbent Stephen Richer received around 34%. Republican Donald Hiatt was trailing in third place.
