Preliminary numbers now show Proudfit, Bowles, Tobey slightly extending lead for Peoria Unified race

After initial results, numbers show Becky Proudfit, Janelle Bowles and Jeffrey Tobey extending their lead slightly for the three open seats on the five-seat Peoria Unified governing board, according to unofficial results.

Proudfit now has 19.63% or 35,756 votes, Bowles has 18.5% or 33,690 votes, and Tobey has 18.07% or 32,921 votes.

The three other candidates on the ballot are David Sandoval with 16.75% or 30,506 votes, Melissa Girmscheid with 14.83% or 27,006 votes, and Mikah Dyer with 12.22% or 22,266 votes.
