Early numbers show Hamadeh in the lead for Congressional District 8

Early numbers show Republican Abe Hamadeh in the lead against Democrat Gregory Whitten for Congressional District 8, according to unofficial results.

Hamadeh has 53.45% or 116,139 votes and Whitten has 46.55% or 101,136 votes.

This very red Congressional District 8 includes parts of Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Sun City and Sun City West.
