Early childhood programming gets funding boost in Surprise

Surprise accepted a $250,000 grant for early childhood programming.

The Surprise City Council approved a contract with First Things First at its Aug. 1 meeting. It will allow for two full-time positions added to the Human Services and Community Vitality Department.

The grant award from the First Things First Family Resource Centers will let the city provide early childhood programming through the Surprise Resource Center.
