O'Connor beach volleyball pair leads drive for 5 in Phoenix

Sandra Day O’Connor High School could not win four straight team Division I titles without elite beach volleyball players.

But they do not always arrive on campus that way.

Take this year’s top pair of seniors Kaylee Woodruff and Delaney Singleton. Woodruff was, and is, an elite youth swimmer that did not play beach volleyball until she was a sophomore. Singleton played beach from the beginning but thought of herself as an indoor volleyball player.
