E-bikes for Christmas come with safety rules and regulations

Dolls and building blocks are nice but what many Scottsdale residents, kids and adults alike, are really looking for under the tree this Christmas are electric bikes, or e-bikes.

About half the bikes the Scottsdale Bike Company is selling right now are e-bikes, according to Patrick Rhodes, a manager at the store. And e-bikes make up more than half the bikes the store is servicing, he said.

Landis Cyclery is also selling “a ton” of them, according to Eric Lynch, a salesman at the store
