Dysart students helped outside of class

DUSD community education pays for itself

There is a real need for programs within a school district that benefit students before and after the bell rings. For those residents in the Dysart Unified School District opportunities through the community education are available to satisfy the different needs of the entire community.

“Not one single dollar from the general fund gets dumped into community education,” said John Williams, DUSD community education director. “Everything we do is self sustaining to students, families and the larger community.”

Key areas of focus for community education include Growing Minds Preschool, 17999 W. Surprise Farms Loop S., enrichment and activities, facility use management, The Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkview Place, Den Club and Middle School R.E.C.
